The Spider AS-RC2 Tripod Adapter Plate has been designed to attach to any SpiderPro or SpiderLight Plate and also mounts directly to your camera body. The two built-in tripod profiles make this plate compatible with both Arca-Swiss™ and Manfrotto RC2™ style quick-release heads. Please note: this plate is compatible only with Manfrotto heads that use the RC2 style Manfrotto plate. See below for additional compatibility information.
Perfect, as always.
Use as RC2 and it works great.
Too loose for RC2
There are a lot of things to love about this combination mount. I bought two of these mounts so that I could have a single mounting plate that fits both my Manfrotto RC2 and my Swiss-Arca bases.
While it works great in a Swiss-Arca base, I find that it is scary loose in my Manfrotto ball head mount. I don't think it will fall out, but it is not a secure fit because it is not wide enough for Manfrotto RC2, and it wobbles when the camera is adjusted.
One of the main features I love is that the AS-RC2 is unique as it does fasten to the center of the Spider mounting plate and used two screws instead of one. The AS-RC2 mount is not offset when mounted on the Spider base as like my Manfrotto mounts are.
1 x AS-RC2 Adapter Plate
it what wanted
Versatile piece of equipment.
Needed this accessory to attach my camera body to my Manfrotto Head with my SpiderPro plate attached. It works flawlessly and it is fantastic to not have to remove the SpiderPro plate every time I want to attach to my tripod.
The lightweight design, durable construction and anti-rotation features
make this plate the perfect addition for your Spider system.
For lightweight/mirrorless cameras, this plate locks into the SpiderLight Backpack Adapter, allowing you to carry your camera directly on your backpack.
