Regardless of what camera you're using, the SpiderPro Hand Strap v2 is compatible with both DSLR and Mirrorless cameras and is large enough to accommodate cameras equipped with a vertical grip!
It is remarkably easy to install with a quick three snap connection that holds firm.
The hand strap can be attached by installing underneath any Spider Camera Plate, or other 3rd party tripod plate. If you're not using any camera plate, you can use the provided hardware (screw + washers) to install it without needing a plate!
The strap's curved S-shape and proprietary core construction "remembers" the shape of your hand, taking the shape of your preferred grip and shooting angle.
The SpiderPro Hand Strap v2 will not block your battery door, it is flexible and is designed to bend out of the way of your battery door without being damaged.
Also included is an optional wrist strap which snaps around the wrist, providing additional support and security. This wrist strap makes long shoots and heavier camera rigs far more comfortable.

I wasn't sure about adding a hand grip to my cameras because I didn't want it to interfere with shooting but knew I needed one with the size of my lenses and amount of time spent on sessions. This was easy to apply to my camera body and adjust to fit my hand and is velvety soft. After my first session using it I realized I forgot I was even wearing it. My wrists are grateful.
Years ago I nearly dropped my camera when I was bumped into while photographing a wedding. Having the hand strap makes a huge difference. Much more secure.
I now have three of these wonderful grips that I use with my Spider holster for mirrorless camera. The grip is nicely made, very comfortable, and easy to change batteries or switch SD cards. The Spider clip and holster is wonderful beyond belief, great for bike rides with camera, and so neck sparing! I heartily recommend the whole shebang!
As a professional photographer, I carry my 5D Mark IV around all day when I’m working. It’s a heavy camera and with my carpal tunnel syndrome my hands can turn loose of objects without warning. This is a safe and comfortable way to carry my camera without worrying about dropping it. I also find myself hanging out over big drops and this strap keeps my camera in my hand.
