Shockingly Great

I say Shocking as I am a smaller plus sized woman (working on this in a health way). And I was worried it would not work for my body type. But wanted to get them off my shoulders. I have the should straps and they get heavy on my shoulders after a long day. These are great to have on hip. I was amazed that it felt great. Now you do have to figure out your comfort setting and so there is a learning curve. But I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was and was a bit big with my initial setting. I will happily use this primarily and the shoulder straps if needed or even both. Great tool for my needs.

Expensive, but very well made

Let’s start out by saying I’m cheap. I have been using a plastic off brand rip off of the spider holster I bought online and it was “functioning”. But I decided to bite the bullet during the Black Friday sale and purchase the real deal. I’ve used it one three long shoots with two bodies and have been VERY pleased. The metal receiver is very solid and the locking mechanism is smooth. It took me a little while to get the belt and holsters adjusted just the way I like them but now that they’re adjusted the are great. I don’t “love” the three point locking belt, but it functions as designed. I’m fat and my belly gets in the way of the third locking button. Personally I think I would prefer just the standard two point locking buckle. That being said the people who designed this equipment really thought things out, so I’m sure they have found through research that the three point buckle must be better. I decided to go with the arcs Swiss style connectors so I don’t have to pull off my quick release plates just to use my gear with the spiderholster. For me it was the right choice. I know you get what you pay for, and this stuff seems to be very well made, but damn. Even with the Black Friday sale I spent almost $300 on a belt.

Perfect solution for professionals

I have this belt since 2019. Yes, it is expensive, but also worth this. Always the right camera and lens with a quick grap. The buffer pad keeps your hips protected by beeing hit by the camera. The plates with the integrated hexagon keys alow a quick installation an provide perfect quality.
